Jeffrey Weinzweig, MD, is an American author, surgeon and founder of a nonprofit foundation that provides pro bono surgery for children with congenital craniofacial anomalies in developing countries who would otherwise receive no treatment. He is an emeritus chairman of plastic surgery and the author of six surgical textbooks, which have been translated into numerous languages worldwide, and over 200 publications and book chapters related to his specialty. He holds more than twenty patents for surgical innovations in his field. “Contraptions” is his first novel.
